‘Race’ was a fast-paced action-adventure caper. Not too many filmmakers in Bollywood would’ve done such a wonderful job of it,” Saif told.

“Yes, Kareena will be part of ‘Race 2′. We’re yet to flesh out the details. But ‘Race 2′ has to be bigger and larger than ‘Race’. Otherwise no point in making it,” he added.

Bipasha Basu’s character has been written out of the script to make way for Kareena.

Produced by Tips Industries Ltd, “Race”, which also had Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, turned out to be one of the big hits of 2008. But for the sequel, Ramesh and Kumar Taurani were not keen to have Abbas-Mustan on board as directors.

But Saif has convinced the producers to launch part two with the director duo. Apparently “Race 2″ will be more gadget and gizmo-friendly, as upwardly-scaled as “Dhoom 2″ was, compared to “Dhoom”.

The man of the moment, Chetan has also confirmed the news by revealing that he was looking for someone who could do justice to his book. After a couple of casual meetings, Chetan Bhagat and Farhan Akhtar decided to execute the plan.

At present, Chetan along with Abhishek Kapoor and Pubali Chaudhary, is working on the screenplay of the movie whose cast is still to be finalized.

While capturing the main essence of the book, the movie will be a little different from the book in order to satisfy the demands of the Bollywood audience. The movie is set to roll the floors by the end of this year or early next year.

And now Rohit goes one step further by creating another larger-than-life song for his next venture ‘All The Best’ for which he is currently shooting in Goa. Choreographed by the talented duo Bosco – Ceasar to music from Pritam, Rohit has left no stone unturned to create a musical extravaganza!!!

He especially flew down 1000 dancers from Mumbai and arranged for 1000 more locals from Goa for the song; which is more than double the number of artists used in ‘Tha Karke’!!! Spread over 6 days of shooting, the song has been picturised on Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse on a beautiful virgin beach of Goa with elaborate sets made by Narendra Rahurikar.

If the sparks generated by the dynamic starcast wasn’t enough, the song will also have a plethora of fighters, expensive cars and bikes. Though, unlike in Golmaal Returns, there won’t be any cars being blown up!!

And what has the captain of the ship, Rohit got to say to this? “Since the producer is Ajay Devgan, he has given me complete creative liberty and hasn’t yet presented me with the bill!!!!” he joked!

This Diwali bonanza produced by Ajay Devgan Films is all set to hit the theatres on 16th Oct ’09 and is Co-produced by Kumar Mangat while the Executive Producer is Vikrant Sharma.

The film is based on a true story of a man who has Asperger’s Syndrome, a relatively common form of autism, making it difficult for him to interact in a normal way with other people. Because of his strange behaviour, he gets arrested in the US on suspicion of being a terrorist. Seen as being very different from Karan Johar’s previous works, the movie has not been without its difficulties.

“We were to shoot in a mosque in Los Angeles and hard as Karan tried to convince the authorities that his film would not propagate anti-social values, he was denied permission,” says actor Arif Zakaria, “We finally shot the two-day scene with Shah Rukh Khan on the set of a mosque constructed at The Club in Andheri.”

Kajol obviously enjoys being back working with Karan as she has signed up to be part of his remake of the Susan Sarandon starrer Stepmom. Kareena Kapoor will be picking up the role played by Julia Roberts in the original. “Kajol is my favourite actress, to be pitched against her is a dream for me,” she says, “We didn’t have many scenes together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. But here it’s the two of us all the way. Julia Roberts had rocked in the original. I want to make my role in the remake just as exciting.”

The remake project is being given to Shrishti Behl, sister of director Goldie Behl. The film will show a big fat Punjabi wedding with lots of drama and fun. What will be interesting to look out for is the pairing in the movie. Can we consider Kareena and Priyanka together? No way, they don’t even like to see each other’s face. Deepika and Sonam? They might end up discussing Ranbir more than the movie. Katrina and Asin? Katrina will be more like a watchdog keeping an eye on Asin’s moves towards Salman!
